The Same Power

Not that i grew lazy. Or lost of words. Really. Just sometimes, songs make a stronger impact. Power of music? I believe it's the spirit of God moving through the songs. Or the worshippers in it.
You are here (The Same Power) - by Hillsongs London

Verse 1:
There is a love that I know
Strength for the weak and the broken-heart
My Shepard and King, I find you within me
For You Are Here

Carried the cross for the world
Gathered the lost and the fatherless
My Shepard and King, I find you within me
For You Are Here, my Lord forever You Are Here

Chorus:
In this place, You Are Here
By Your mercy, I draw near
In my heart, take Your place
You Are Here

Verse 2: Your word is the light of the Earth
Your glory resounds in the universe
My Shepard and King, I find You within me
For You Are Here, my Lord forever, You Are Here

Bridge:
The same power that conquered the grave lives in me, lives in me!
Your love that rescued the Earth lives in me, lives in me!

Overcome

To my dearest sister.

I am no wise man. My words are merely experiential-based and opinionated. But this is what i believe; there are 2 types of storms.

The first type blows from 1 direction to another. It comes and goes. Survive it, and you shall see the light of day once it's over.

The second type rises from within. It engulfs you; no escape. Probably the only way to see the end of it is by overcoming it. Rise above it.

Overcome - by Desperation Band

Verse 1:
Seated above, enthroned in the Father's love
Destined to die, poured out for all mankind
God's only son perfect and spotless one
He never sinned, but suffered as if he did

Pre-Chorus:
All authority, every victo-ry is Yours
All authority, every victory is Yours

Chorus:
Savior, worthy of honor and glory, worthy of all our praise, You overcame
Jesus, awesome in power forever, awesome and great is Your name,You overcame

Verse 2:
Power in hand speaking the Father's plan
You're sending us out, light in this broken land

Bridge:
We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb
and the word of our testimony, everyone overcome

Storm (Re-Post)

As stated in the title, this is a repost; i have featured this video on my blog once before this. In fact, it was the second post on this blog. [Who cares.]

A song to be dedicated to my SISTER. One that has been very close to my heart for the past whole decade. All that i wish to say to you right now may have been captured in this song.

Lifehouse - Storm.

How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by the ocean’s shapeless form
Water's getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head

I know you didn’t bring me out here to drown
So why am I ten feet under and upside down
Barely surviving has become my purpose
Because I’m so used to living underneath the surface

Chorus:
If I could just see you
Everything would be all right
If I could see you
This darkness would turn to light

And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
And everything will be all right

Waiting

Wilberforce fought almost the entire House of Commons for what he stood for. Of course, we all know that it was not by his own strength, but by the amazing grace of God which himself had lauded. But his determination to go against the impossibilities was nevertheless the key to freedom for millions.
But the slavery has continued. By the same master; the human nature, especially Master G. And this time, his conquest far exceeds any empire we have ever seen. He has enslaved almost the entire population of the Earth but chosen fews. And he is not relenting till he conquers the world. Well, i don't think he's far from that anyway.
And so i wonder, where is the Wilberforce of this generation?

Anyway...

Are we not as what John Mayer sang in his song "Waiting on the world to change"?

People tell us that our stand is futile. We see the spiraling down of the world, but feel as if we do not have what it takes to rise above and beat it.

Freaking true he says; it's hard to beat the system when we're standing at a distance.

What you get from the TV is all you got. Once they own the information, all you know is all they ever want you to know.

Then we complain and whine, saying that the fight ain't fair. Damn right it is.

Me and all my friends
We're all misunderstood
They say we stand for nothing and
There's no way we ever could

Now we see everything that's going wrong
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we don't have the means
To rise above and beat it

So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

It's hard to beat the system
When we're standing at a distance
So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change

Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would have never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on their door
And when you trust your television
What you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information, oh
They can bend it all they want

That's why we're waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

It's not that we don't care,
We just know that the fight ain't fair
So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

And we're still waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting waiting on the world to change
One day our generation
Is gonna rule the population
So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

Nothing but the Blood

I am definitely not posting videos because i am too lazy to write. Partially, maybe. But seriously, i love this song. Hope you would be touched by this song as much as i do.
